Science in the News for kids

One of my favorite free homeschooling resources is Science in the News, which is published in pdf form by Science A-Z, and has recently been archived on that website, making different topics easy to find and print.  My kids enjoy reading something new each month, and the articles have sparked many interesting conversations.

I like the idea that they offer the subjects in multiple levels. The cost seems reasonable.

The Science in the News pdfs are free. I downloaded some of their other materials during their most recent open house, but have yet to use them. They look good, though!

Can you tell me how you access the pdfs for free? Anything I click on requires registration and payment.

It looks like a wonderful resource!

Tracy, you might have to sign up at http://www.learningpage.com/ in order to download the science in the news pdfs. Those are always free. The other science materials are only free once a year during the open house (in May, I think--and you are limited in the amount you can download), or you can request a 7-Day Free Trial, during which I think you can download ten pdfs per day.
